Morning after breakfast proceed for Leh city tour and visit Shanti Stupa built by Japanese monks to promote world peace. This large hilltop stupa has brightly colored reliefs on its mid-levels and is topped by a spider white hemisphere (smoking is prohibited here). Visit the eye-catching Sankar Gompa monastery. Lastly, visit Leh Palace, dilapidated yet interesting, which was built in the 17th century in the grand tradition of Tibetan architecture. Evening Free time at Leisure. O/N Leh.

After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). You can take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. visit the Diskit Monastery and the giant statue of Maitreya Buddha which is the tallest Buddha statue in Ladakh. On arrival check in to the hotel/camp. Post lunch, enjoy a camel safari (double humped camel which are found only in Ladakh & Mongolia) at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. Early morning enjoys the picturesque view of Sun rise on lake. After Breakfast drive back to Leh via Changla Pass 17,350 ft, 3rd Highest Motorable road in the world, en route visit Hemis Monastery This Monastery is the largest as well as the most well-known monastery (Gompa) in Ladakh.which was re-established in 1672 by the Ladakhi king Sengge Namgyal Inside the monastery, a copper gilded statue of Lord Buddha can be see along with various stupas that are said to be made of precious metal like gold and silver.. This morning, after breakfast, visit Alchi, (3500 m / 11500 feet) a small village in the Indus Valley, 67 kms west of Leh. Abandoned centuries ago the gompa or monastery is known as Chos-kor or religious enclave and comprises of five temples. En route see the majestic Sangam - Confluence (where two rivers meet each other). Zanskar is the river formed from the junction of two streams, Lungnak means 'dark gorge' and Stod, which carries the melt water of the great Drang-drung glacier. See the marvelous Magnetic Hill, a gravity hill located near Leh. The hill is alleged to have magnetic properties strong enough to pull cars uphill and force passing aircraft to increase their altitude in order to escape magnetic interference. Visit Military Hall of Fame, a glorious museum constructed by Indian army. You can see biographies of eminent defense personalities, images and weapons used during Kargil war, iachen and its heroes and their daily instruments and lifestyle of Ladakhi people. You will also visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a beautiful Gurudwara constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh and Spituk Monastery a famous for its wide and varied collections of ancient masks, icons, antique arms and numerous Thangkas. Both houseboat and Shikara travel are costly and better to get the tourist agency arrange for one, or fork out on your own.

ILP is needed for visiting Loma Bend, Turtuk, Nubra valley, Khardung La, Hanle, Digger La, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, Dah, Merak, Nyoma, Hanu Villages, Man, Tyakshi, Chusul, Tangyar (for trekking only). For Indians ILP is valid for 3 weeks and for foreigners it is valid for 1 week.  The cost of ILP is INR 420. People can get the ILP from the website http://lahdclehpermit.in/ by following the process as prescribed.

What to Pack While Visiting Kashmir?
On visit to Kashmir it is must to carry heavy woollens, sweaters and scarves especially if travelling during winter. Durable shoes are a must if you want to indulge in adventure activities.
