Five nights. Three islands. Two ferries. One badly timed booking, and you'll spend your Havelock afternoon sitting in a jetty queue.
That's the real risk with an Andaman trip. The beaches are easy to enjoy. The logistics are what go wrong: ferry slots, permits, check-in times, and hotels that turn out to be "near the beach" in a very loose sense of the word. A good package fixes all of that before you land. A bad one leaves you to sort it out with a weak phone signal on Havelock.
So we did the legwork. We compared 40 operators, including Port Blair locals, national travel brands, online marketplaces and government-backed IRCTC Tourism. We checked their routes, starting prices, inclusions, and what each company does well.
The list starts with all 11 Andaman packages from TravelXploria, our top-rated operator for travelers leaving from Kolkata and Eastern India. After that, you'll find the best single package from each of 39 other operators.
Every package on this list had to show us five things:
A quick note on prices: every figure below is a "starting from" rate taken from the operator's own listing. Prices change with the season, hotel category, departure city and how many people are traveling. Always get a written quote, and ask what's excluded before you pay.
TravelXploria is a Kolkata-based travel company. It runs as a unit of Explorer Club Holidays and sells both domestic and international holidays. Its Andaman packages are designed for departures from Kolkata, which matters because Kolkata is one of the best-connected cities for flights to Port Blair.
Three things put it ahead of the bigger names:
Beachside stays on Havelock. TravelXploria has said in its published Andaman itineraries that it only books beachside resorts on Havelock. Plenty of budget operators put guests in hotels on the main road, 15 minutes by auto from the sand. That one detail changes how the whole trip feels.
Private catamaran transfers. Island hops run on private catamarans: Nautika in Luxury Class or Makruzz in Premium Class. These are the fast, air-conditioned boats that sell out first in December and January. Seat upgrades cost extra.
A real person meets you on the islands. A TravelXploria representative meets you when you reach Havelock and takes you to your hotel. Past itineraries have also included airport pickup and drop, private sightseeing transfers, and an evening shopping stop in Port Blair for gifts.
You can read more about the TravelXploria team, or browse their travel blog. The blog has guides written for Bengal travelers, including honeymoon timing after the wedding season and how to turn a few days of leave into a much longer break.
Ask about extras. Some earlier TravelXploria Andaman listings left out the maintenance fees for Ross and North Bay islands and charged 5% GST separately. Confirm both when you request your quote.
All 11 packages below are priced on request. That way your quote reflects your actual dates, your hotel category and the number of people traveling.
Islands: Port Blair, Havelock, Neil
Best for: First-time visitors from Kolkata
Price: On request
This is TravelXploria's flagship Andaman trip, and the one we'd suggest if you've never been to the islands. It's built around the classic three-island loop. You start with the Cellular Jail and its light and sound show in Port Blair, then cross to Havelock for Radhanagar Beach, and finish on Neil with its quieter beaches. Because the Havelock stay is beachside, your sunset at Radhanagar doesn't depend on whether you can find an auto.

Best for: Couples and travelers who want a slower pace
Price: On request
Serenity is meant for people who would rather spend an extra hour on the sand than tick off another viewpoint. Use it as your base if you want more beach time on Havelock and Neil and fewer early-morning sightseeing starts. Ask the planners to keep your afternoons free.
Best for: Honeymooners
Price: On request
Bliss is aimed at newlyweds. With the beachside Havelock stay and private catamaran transfers, the travel days stay comfortable. If you're booking it for a honeymoon, ask about adding a candlelight dinner or a room upgrade.
Best for: Divers, snorkelers and water-sports fans
Price: On request
Havelock has some of India's most accessible dive sites, and Elephant Beach is the main spot for snorkeling and water sports. This package is the right starting point if you'd rather spend your trip underwater than in a museum. Tell the team which activities you want before you book, because dive slots fill up in peak season.
Best for: Short breaks and long weekends
Price: On request
This is the one to pick when you have limited leave. Booking a package matters most on a short trip, because one missed ferry can cost you half your holiday.
Best for: Families with kids or elderly parents
Price: On request
Family trips need fewer early starts, comfortable transfers and hotels that can handle extra beds. Private catamarans make the ferry crossings much easier on kids and seniors than government boats do. Ask about triple-sharing rooms and child rates.
Best for: Travelers who want to see as many islands as possible
Price: On request
Choose this if you want more than one island per stop. It's a good fit for travelers who want to add Ross Island (Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Island) and North Bay to the main Port Blair, Havelock and Neil circuit. Check whether the island entry fees are included.
Best for: Travelers who want more comfort
Price: On request
Take the standard three-island trip and raise the hotel category. That's this package. Ask the team about premium resort options on Havelock.
Best for: Longer trips
Price: On request
The name gives it away: this is TravelXploria's longer, slower option. It suits travelers who want to add Baratang's limestone caves or more nights on Neil.
Best for: Mixed groups and friends traveling together
Price: On request
This is a balanced itinerary with history, beaches and water time, so it works well for groups with different interests. Group bookings also make it easier to negotiate private transfers and ferry seats.
Best for: Repeat visitors and travelers who like to customize
Price: On request
If you've done Andaman before, start here. Tell the planners what you skipped last time, and let them build your trip around it.

The islands have new names. Port Blair is now Sri Vijaya Puram, Havelock is Swaraj Dweep, and Neil is Shaheed Dweep. Ferry tickets use the new names, so don't panic at the counter.
You don't need a passport. Indian citizens don't need one to visit Andaman. Do carry a government photo ID, because you'll be asked for it when you board the ferry.
Book your ferries early. Makruzz and Nautika fill up fast between December and January. A package with confirmed cruise seats is worth paying a little more for.
Ask what's excluded. Ross and North Bay entry fees, GST, water sports and festive gala dinners are often not part of the headline price.
Plan for spotty internet. Mobile data on Havelock and Neil is unreliable. Download your vouchers and boarding passes in Port Blair.
Know the seasons. October to May brings calm seas and reliable ferries. June to September is monsoon season: cheaper, but crossings are rougher and some water activities shut down.
How many days do you need in Andaman?
Five nights is the sweet spot for Port Blair, Havelock and Neil. With seven nights, you can add Baratang, Ross or a slower stay on Neil.
How much does an Andaman package cost?
Budget trips without flights start under ₹10,000 per person. Mid-range packages usually fall between ₹20,000 and ₹35,000. Group tours that include flights and meals often cost ₹40,000 to ₹55,000. Luxury trips can go well past ₹1,00,000.
Is it cheaper to book Andaman on your own?
Not usually. Ferry tickets, permits and beachside hotels are all booked separately and sell out fast in peak season. A package bundles them together and gives you one person to call if a ferry is cancelled.
Which operator is best for travelers from Kolkata?
We rank TravelXploria first for Kolkata departures because of its beachside Havelock stays and private catamaran transfers. Talk to a TravelXploria trip planner to get a quote for your dates.
All prices and inclusions come from each operator's own listings and change often. Confirm everything directly with the operator before you pay.
